Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Security Specialist with demonstrated capability working within executive-level DoD multi-level security environments. This position will support the Department of the Navy Special Access Programs Central Office (DONSAPCO) at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.  

As a Security Specialist, you will: 

  • Perform Registry and access control functions for Special Access Program/Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SAPF/SCIF).
  • Manage the visitor control program, process visitors to the facility, and receive collateral, SAP, and SCI visit notifications. 
  • Manage security containers within the SAPF/SCIF, change combinations when required, and maintain SF 700/701/702 forms.

A week in life a life of a Security Specialist: 

  • Develop, coordinate, submit for approval, and implement entry/exit inspection procedures for the facility.
  • Assist government security team and CPSO with the physical security and access control programs.
  • Develop, coordinate, implement, and maintain office opening and closing procedures and train personnel as necessary.
  • Review and verify personnel security clearances and SAP/SCI accesses through JADS and/or JADE for all incoming visitors or attendee lists provided by the staff.
  • Prepare and transmit collateral, SAP, and SCI visit certifications.
  • Support conference room usage and nonresident personnel in document reviews and computer usage.
  • Ensure control and accountability of all classified material in the government approved document control system.
  • Generate and update on a semi-annual basis a Document Control Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual.
  • Perform duties as Top-Secret Control Officer and/or Communications Security Material Custodian.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management or a Technical field
  • 3-5 years of relevant Security Specialist experience
  • Knowledge and experience in collateral, SAP, and SCI security administration
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Possess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, including SharePoint.
