Company History

In 1966 Robert Burman founded The Matworks™ as a mat rental and laundering company. By 1976, the company obtained their first national account with a client who is still with us today. Through the 80′s and 90′s the company grew into the number one supplier of entrance and anti-fatigue matting to national retail chains. Along the way we’ve also become not only supplier but also the installer for our clients. The company has grown and our name has changed to The Matworks Company, LLC. In 2006, we launched our national install and service division, Serviceworks™, and our in-depth line of specialty flooring and solution flooring division, Solution Flooringworks™.
