Rethinking and rebuilding our transportation infrastructure is one of the nation's most pressing issues, and one that brings unprecedented cost. With trillions of dollars needed to repair and improve everything from rural streets to subway tunnels, the roadway to repair can seem unclear.

TRC provides the vision to create a pathway for success. From consulting and planning to environmental analysis, engineering, and construction, we set the bar for clients needing more than engineering and construction knowledge to solve infrastructure challenges.

To meet these challenges, TRC is currently seeking applicants for TCI's (Transportation Construction Inspectors) to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection Practice in Akron, Ohio and other locations in Ohio.


Qualifications

Qualified Inspectors are needed for:

  • Highway / Roadway Construction Inspection
  • Bridge and Structures Inspection

The following certifications and qualifications must be met, or candidate must be willing to obtain:

  • 18 or more months of construction project inspection experience
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician- Grade I
  • ACI Aggregate Testing Technician - Level I OR Ohio Aggregate Level I
  • ODOT prequalified Project and or Structure Inspector.

Completion of the following tests:

  • ODOT Flexible Pavement Test, ODOT Traffic Work Zone Test, ODOT Commercially Useful Function (CUF) Training
  • ODOT Structures test OR NICET Level III in Highway Construction Inspection Certification.

AND meet at least one of the following:

  • NICET Level II in Highway Construction Inspection Certification.
  • Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management Degree or similar technical degrees surpassing these requirements.
  • Former ODOT Employee - HT3, HT4 & HT5, TM1 , TM2, TM3 or TA
    • Three Thousand Two Hundred (3,200) hours of construction project technical experience evidenced within the last 10 years.
  • Familiarity with ODOT inspection procedures and ability to prepare reports using Excel, ODOT Mobile Inspector, GoFormz, and Sitemanger, AWP or other project management software is preferred.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $20.00 - USD $88.84 /Hr.
