Job Summary:

This is an opportunity to demonstrate and enhance your Environmental and Sustainability expertise and be involved in exciting projects that will offer the chance to provide technical solutions as a subject matter expert for US and International facilities! You'll need to be flexible in your approach to challenges and have a strong ability to think laterally in delivering systematic solutions. You will work with the Global EHS & Regulatory Compliance Team and play a key technical leadership role in the development of Aurorium best practices.

Responsibilities:

Role Specific Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the global compliance program management system as part of the Aurorium Responsible Care Management System (RCMS)
  • Support development of environmental and sustainability compliance policies, processes, and work instructions
  • Support organization and execution of regulatory working groups across functions
  • Support global implementation of onboarding acquisitions
  • Support the implementation and execution of EHS digital information system(s)
  • Maintain and further develop the Aurorium global compliance calendar
  • Regularly measure and create status reports on performance of environmental and sustainability compliance management system(s), based on KPls (e.g., non-compliance/permit deviations, wastewater, waste minimization, CO2 reduction, and water usage reduction)
  • Support facilities (US and International) with multi-media permitting support (air, water, stormwater)
  • Serve as a technical resource regarding emission calculations, air pollution control equipment, LDAR, RMP, source performance testing, developing waste profiles, etc.
  • Support preparation and execution of top management business reviews and steering committees on global compliance
  • Support execution of general and topic-specific trainings
  • Basic understanding of safety quality and risk management principles, frameworks, methodology, and basic legal understanding
  • Basic technical understanding and, ideally, first experience in working with legal requirements and regulations globally
  • Leads coordination for global sites with third party compliance audit scheduling
  • Superior written and verbal communication in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Manages external consultants and their deliverables for outsourced projects, meeting expected timeframes and budgets
  • Travel as needed (25 - 50%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements
  • Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
  • Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times

Qualifications/Desired Skills:

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g. chemical, civil, environmental); physical/Life Sciences and/or Environmental Management will be considered

Experience:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years professional, relevant experience required
  • Experience with managing complex systems (digital information; Intelex, other)
  • Experience working with cross-functional EHS teams on developing policies/procedures and conducting auditing/assessment activates.
  • Experience establishing sustainability metrics (e.g., CO2, water reduction, waste minimization).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Professional Certifications a plus: PE, REM, CHMM, ETC.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities
  • Ability to work within a multi-functional, global organizational structure and exhibits robust interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work within a fast-paced environment independently and within a team
  • Critical thinking skills and analytical abilities which allow assessments of situations and opportunities
  • Exhibits a passion for continuous improvement and problem solving
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
