Job Description

Juniper Networks seeks a Sales Engineering Leader to drive growth through the development and expansion of customer relationships with US Federal DoD accounts. In this position, a strategic focus and the ability to understand the client and Juniper's business is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to determine business drivers, create a strategy for driving growth, and work with internal and external resources to bring that strategy to life.

The Enterprise Sales Engineering Manager (SEM) is responsible for driving the technical contribution of a technical sales team supporting strategic accounts within the across multiple enterprise verticals. This includes executing strategies focused on sales growth, technical and operational excellence, and team development. This position includes operational and creative elements where an ideal candidate will be proficient at ideation and experienced in cross-domain execution. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Be an accomplished self-starter with strong leadership experience and a demonstrated track record for technical sales excellence.
  • Understands how to build a customer-centric culture across the SE team.
  • Can teach, coach, and mentor on being an excellent sales engineer not just a systems engineer.
  • Comfortable with leading change in a fluid aggressive growth environment
  • Be adept at business diplomacy and dealing with difficult situations.
  • Lead regional technical team to drive the technical contribution for GTM success.
  • Be aware of market trends and transitions.
  • Understand data network systems architecture and associated business value.
  • Have experience with collaborative/overlay business motions.
  • Drive career growth for all direct reports.

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience working with Department of Defense customers. Specific experience with US Army and DISA + 4th Estate account is a plus.
  • 3+ years experience in leading/managing technical teams and running technical projects
  • 5+ years of networking industry experience, including a practicing knowledge of Campus, Data Center, and Wide Area Networking, as well as familiarity with current networking and business models, trends, market dynamics, and technological adjacencies (i.e. virtualization, software/OS, cloud services)
  • Understanding of pre-sales engineering and sales stage processes.
  • Understanding of enterprise networking, including key buying criteria and personas.
  • Strong interpersonal / communication skills.
  • Ability to assess, prioritize, assign, and handle technical work streams to completion.

Minimum Salary: $181,632.00

Maximum Salary:$261,096.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $181,632.00 and $261,096.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
