Responsibilities

Systems Engineering across the below areas:

    Work as a Systems Engineer and Technical Assistant (SETA) to the Government
  • Provide Systems Engineering support to processing acquisitions for key space assets
  • Coordinate regularly with development contractors to manage and resolve technical and programmatic deficiencies, ensuring government stakeholders are satisfied with contractor performance
  • Utilize organizational and communication skills to clearly and concisely present information, ensuring the government and all stakeholders are kept informed of system status
  • Manage the drafting and refinement of non-earth imaging requirements for automated processing
Qualifications

Required:

  • BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
  • Thorough understanding of GEOINT processing systems
  • Thorough understanding of non-earth imaging principles and processes
  • Experience drafting and managing Systems Engineering requirements, including waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Understanding of Electro-Optical and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Mission Processing systems
  • Experience assisting the government with acquisition processes and documentation for small and large-scale software development contracts
  • Strong presentation, oral, and written communications skills, including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products
  • Proven organization and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to interface effectively via written and oral forums with personnel at all levels of government

Desired:

  • Experience with commercial Atlassian tools (e.g. Confluence, JIRA) or ability to learn quickly
  • Experience with Systems Engineering and acquisition documentation, such as Requests for Proposals (RFCs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Requests for Change (RFCs)
  • Knowledge of SAFe or Agile frameworks
  • Experience with Systems Engineering risk management, architectures, and verification/validation (V&V)
