JOB TITLE:

Part-Time Bus Driver

JOB PURPOSE:

A University of Wyoming Bus Driver follows a planned bus route, making scheduled stops to pick up or drop off passengers. They will answer questions about the bus routes and communicate with dispatch via two-way radio during route.

The working hours for these positions vary between 5:30am - 11:00pm depending on your availability. Pre-employment drug screening and review of motor vehicle record history are required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely operate UW Transit buses as directed, on various routes and assignments.
  • Perform inspections of the equipment as outlined in the department procedures and demonstrated throughout the onboarding process.
  • Maintain relevant paperwork and documentation as required.
  • Positively contribute to the team centered work environment.
  • Follow all University and Transportation Services Policies and Procedures.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: No Experience Required.

Required education, licensure, certification, registration or other requirement:

  • Valid Driver's License with a motor vehicle record that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy Found at: http://www.uwyo.edu/auxserv/car-rental-services/official-vehicle-policy/ovp.pdf.
  • Must be able to pass all drug and/or alcohol screening(s) required by the UW Drug and Alcohol Policy http://www.uwyo.edu/tps/_files/drugalcoholpolicy.pdf.
  • Ability to work as a team member in a professional team environment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to follow and enforce safety procedures and protocols as directed.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
