Position Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated licensed architect specializing in healthcare to join our Healthcare team. This position will provide the individual an opportunity to grow their talents and increase exposure in the AE Healthcare area. The select candidate will be instrumental in the production of documents and collaborate closely with our Healthcare Practice Lead.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops design and construction documents, facilitates charrettes, develops studies and reports, field assessments, and specification development.
  • Collaborates with PRIME AE's inter-office divisions - MEP, Structural Engineering, Civil/Landscape - as well as external subconsultants.
  • Plans and supervises the preparation of construction documents and other deliverables for projects according to client goals, needs, and budgets.
  • Coordinates design disciplines, both in-house and outside consultants.
  • Conducts periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with Detailed Design Documents.
  • May prepare client project presentations, studies, and reports.
  • Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans - specifically Revit.
  • May direct and/or perform activities required in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phasethrough Occupancy and closeout of the project.
  • Develop relationships with client project managers to strengthen Business Development efforts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Professional Architecture Degree from an accredited school.
  • Registered Architect preferred.
  • 5 years' experience as a Project Manager preferred.
  • 5 years of Healthcare Design Experience preferred.
  • Experienced in all phases of project design, construction documentation and construction materials.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, verbal, listening and written communication, including client presentations.
  • Experience with coordination of multiple design disciplines required for developing complete documents.
  • Proficient in Revit and experience with AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge base of building codes, standards, building structures, and engineering systems.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
