How you'll make an impact:

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive support for Cash Accounting and Payroll Accounting, within the accounting organization. This person will be responsible for preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting, and analytics within established deadlines for successful execution of month-end close process. This role will require knowledge in handling transaction matchings, accruals, deferrals, and reconciliation of clearing accounts, coupled with working knowledge of Blackline, Oracle and Alteryx.

What you'll do:

  • Engage in daily operational controls concerning cash activities.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries to accurately reflect business transaction.
  • Perform month end reconciliations of all related balance sheet accounts.
  • Provide accounting and analytical support as required.
  • Collaborate closely with other members of the accounting team to facilitate a smooth month-end accounting close process.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with finance team and business liaisons to ensure that the accounting is consistent with the business.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance existing processes to achieve greater efficiency and adherence to best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:

  • BA/BS in Accounting/Finance or equivalent is required.
  • 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience within a fast-paced environment; adept at managing shifting priorities.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and ability to execute operationally.
  • Strong analytical skills and reconciliation experience, including for clearing accounts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly detailed oriented and organized in work with an ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction.
  • Ability to interact and work cooperatively and collaboratively with staffs at all levels.
  • Good project management and planning skills.
  • Willingness to take initiative and follow through on projects.
  • Ability to identify process improvement and leverage automation opportunities to drive positive change across the organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with large size data in Excel and Alteryx.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Blackline, Alteryx software preferred.
  • There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this job.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
