Position Overview:

As a Water-Resources Design Engineer, you will serve on the design team for key water, wastewater and stormwater projects to include NPDES permitting, water quality analyses and studies, regulatory compliance, water distribution and wastewater collection system projects, water and wastewater treatment system studies/reports and associated design of improvements.

Typical Projects Include:

• Stormwater management structures and green infrastructure design
• Site layout and grading
• Hydraulics and Hydrology
• Water treatment, distribution, pumping and storage design.
• Sanitary sewer collection, pumping and treatment design.
• Permitting for water, wastewater and stormwater designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of projects.
• Attend site meetings and make field observations of project areas.
• Assists the project team in preparation of a Preliminary Engineering Report.
• Develops preliminary cost estimates.
• Prepares and revises drawings and completes standard calculations used in the completion of engineering plans.
• Prepares specifications for project materials and equipment.
• Provides direction and technical guidance on water, wastewater and stormwater projects.
• Assesses (or assists with assessing, depending on experience) the feasibility and soundness/validity of proposed engineering evaluations, when necessary data is insufficient.
• Client interaction/correspondence and/or in-person client meetings.
• Ensures proper quality control procedures are implemented on all projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• EIT preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD to complete design projects.
• Self-motivated critical thinker that is willing to work both collaboratively and independently.
