PRIME AE Group, Inc. (), a multi-faceted A&E firm with 20 office locations in 10 States and over 475 employees throughout the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Northeast, is seeking a Project Manager - W/WW & Site Civil Engineer to join our Water Team in our Lexington, KY office.

Position Overview:

The primary focus of this role will be to manage water/wastewater and site development planning and design aspects. This role will be for both private development clients and public municipalities. Site Development will include grading design, roadway and parking design, stormwater management system design, storm water management design, erosion and sediment control design, and construction detailing and specifications. The Water and Wastewater portion of the role will address water distribution and storage, booster pump stations, water treatment, wastewater collection and pump stations, wastewater treatment, water and wastewater design.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Define and establish project scope, schedule and budget for projects as well as maintain quality control over a project's lifecycle.
  • Outline project objectives and timelines for completion and effectively communicate them to involved parties throughout project.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact with assigned clients through frequent communication methods and lead client meetings.
  • Lead the preparation of project proposals.
  • Manage a staff of engineers and technicians and assign workloads.
  • Communicate project status and performance to executive leadership.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure adherence with contractual agreements.
  • Assure project documentation and reporting are accurately maintained.
  • Oversee coordination with clients as well as outside agencies and consultants for procurement of sub-consultant needs and jurisdictional reviews.
  • Elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other internal departments.
  • Provide resolution to client and project issues.
  • Responsible for invoicing of clients and tracking accounts receivable on a monthly basis.
  • Act as a team resource on complex engineering issues.
  • Develop and grow business relationships with existing client contacts.
  • Motivate team members through the creation of a positive work environment by providing mentoring, coaching, and training to assist in professional development.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer Licensure (PE) is preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years working as a Water / Wastewater Engineer related to water and wastewater system studies, pipeline design, pump station design, water treatment design and wastewater treatment design, water / wastewater master planning, and associated design or water / wastewater infrastructure improvements.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Design Manager for projects is preferred.
  • Experience working with local communities, including assisting operators with treatment solutions, start-up services and commissioning preferred.
  • Experience in Business Development strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in the use e of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTurn, HydroCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Deltek.
  • Excellent communication and delegation skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team.
