Knowledge Management Librarian
Position Overview:
The Knowledge Management Librarian will be responsible for supporting Task 3: Knowledge Management Support by assisting the KMO Director in implementing best practices and policies. This role involves managing and organizing knowledge assets to ensure that information is accessible and useful for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the KMO Director to implement knowledge management best practices and policies.
  • Organize and maintain knowledge repositories to ensure easy access and retrieval of information.
  • Develop and manage databases, contact lists, and organizational charts.
  • Provide support for project planning, tracking, and coordination.
  • Compile and analyze data, prepare project status reports, and provide updates to department leads.
  • Handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and discretion.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in knowledge management practices.
  • Support the transition of knowledge management responsibilities during personnel changes.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in knowledge management, library science, or a related field within a government contracting environment.
  • Familiarity with knowledge management systems and best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.
