Title : Revenue Processing Associate

Status: Full Time Exempt

Reports to: Director, Development Operations

JOB OBJECTIVE :

This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented position that impacts multiple WETA fundraising teams. The Revenue Processing Associate performs timely, efficient and accurate processing of fundraising revenue to meet the needs of WETA's fundraising and accounting operations. This person is a key member of the central processing hub of all fundraising revenue streams that drives WETA's 24-hour business cycle. This person collaborates closely with internal clients to assure efficient workflows are maintained while processing multiple fiscal requests simultaneously. Reports to Director, Development Operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Primary point of contact for in-house check processing.
  • Weekly direct mail processing for remote deposit batch input with caging vendor.
  • Leads daily batch reconciliation of response processing vendor uploads.
  • Liaison to Finance Department for:
    • Processing vendor journal reporting and reconciliation.
    • In-house revenue journal reporting and reconciliation (checks, cash and ACH).
  • Primary point of contact for refund processing.
  • Coordinates with Finance Department to update database of record to process deposit rejects and bank adjustments.
  • Processes workplace giving, matching gifts and other third-party charitable giving monthly contributions.
  • Serves as backup for online sustainer update form queue.
  • Performs and documents account updates in database of record via CRM task management tools.
  • Assists in processing of credit card/EFT gifts and pledge updates.
  • Performs weekly quality control protocols in database as needed.
  • Assure accurate labeling and secure storage of files.
  • Edit and maintain documentation of role specific operational procedures and updates.

Perform related special projects or other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to accurately self-check.
  • Demonstrated understanding of troubleshooting unreconcilable items.
  • Ability to communicate data errors back to users and recommend solutions to management.
  • Knowledge of non-profit contribution processing activity workflow and timeline required.
  • Knowledge of credit card and EFT standard operating guidelines.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of computer technology to accomplish work using Microsoft Office applications, email, internet and relational database management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong desire to learn and stay current with technology, tools and best practice procedures.
  • Positive attitude with strong customer services skill set and values.
  • Knowledge of non-profit third-party gift processing highly desired.
  • Experience using non-profit CRM highly desired; experience with ROI Solutions (aka Revolution Online) is an extra plus.
  • Experience constructing batch data files, mapping and uploading into CRM highly desired.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

  • 2 to 4 years of workforce experience in non-profit industry preferably within a multi-channel fundraising environment.
  • Financial bookkeeping knowledge; basic Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
  • General knowledge and experience of data tagging and documentation.
  • Excellent written, verbal and collaboration skills.
  • College degree, or combination of education and experience.

LOCATION

WETA and NewsHour Productions are Washington, DC established media and news organizations. We are a largely local workforce based out of the Campbell Place office in Arlington, VA. WETA and NewsHour Productions value employee flexibility when possible. Most positions based in our Arlington, VA office will be onsite or hybrid, depending upon the role.
