What You Will Do:

What you will do

Our Washington, DC team is currently looking for a Quality Construction Manager / Senior Inspector to join our team to work on a large Bus Garage facility project for a major transit agency. Estimated design/build contract value in excess of $500 million.

Basic function and scope of responsibilities

This position is responsible for reporting directly to construction sites to observe and document contractor's work conforms to contract requirements, maintaining project files/documentation, compiling and calculating quantities of work performed to be used in calculating monthly contractor payments, document progress and completed activities, and interacting with clients on a regular basis. Possesses skills to acceptably supervise Inspector Level field staff, and others.

Principal Responsibilities and essential functions

  • Prepare Daily Reports
  • Prepare Project Progress Reports
  • Monitor Quality Control Testing
  • Measure Quantities
  • Monitor Contractor Schedules
  • Document completed activities to support review of Payment Applications and Change Orders
  • Maintain Project Filing System
  • Assist with Constructability Reviews
  • Resolve Technical issues in the field
  • Team Leader to manage field inspection team and interface with contractor QA/QC team
Education | Experience:

The Qualifications you will need

Education and Licensing requirements

  • High School Degree
  • Associates Degree in Related Field Preferred

Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or experience

  • 15+ years
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Proficient with Construction Management software (ProCore, BlueBeam, Fieldwire, etc...)
  • Ability to organize plans, specs, and related construction documents and apply content to field installations.
  • OSHA Safety Training
  • Good communication skills
  • Must possess a driver's license to fulfill the essential functions of the position

Additional Notes

Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Work outdoors year-round and sometimes in difficult weather conditions. May be required to work in confined spaces. Travel to work sites for an extended period of time may be required. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to independently travel and be physically present in the office or at a client site.
