Job Description

The Recruitment Associate is part of a nimble team of full-time recruiters within the Human Capital Office supporting the Blueprint for Student Success by compelling experienced and promising leaders across all types of positions to join the City Schools team. As a Recruitment Associate, you will build and execute strategies to identify and initiate communication with a broad network to build large, high-quality, diverse candidate pools for all City Schools positions. The Recruitment Associate is expected, above all else, to be a relentless ambassador for City Schools and constant communicator with both individuals and broad audiences. Additionally, the Recruitment Associate will complete candidate screenings to identify qualified candidates from among all applicants for positions. The Recruitment Associate will collaborate with Human Capital Partners on the school-based and district office staffing teams on targeted recruitment strategies and activities.

Essential Functions
  • Performs full-life cycle recruiting (e.g., sourcing, screening, testing, and selection) according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, cold calls, media, recruiting firms, employee referrals, and any other available methods and media.
  • Participates in planning and conducting job fairs, university/college campus recruiting, internship programs, and other similar activities.
  • Identifies, performs outreach to, and tracks diverse potential applicants for City Schools' positions by conducting research and using a variety of resources and networks.
  • Establishes and maintains strong, positive working relationships with hiring managers and their assigned Human Capital Partners to ensure that recruitment activities are aligned with hiring managers' needs.
  • Performs credential reviews for candidates in accordance with established district, state and federal regulations and requirements.
  • Informs potential applicants about City Schools' programs, benefits, and job opportunities.
  • Directs and/or redirects actual and potential applicants to job postings that are most aligned with candidate qualifications, matching individual interests and experiences with district needs.
  • Develops tailored, strategic individual communication based on audience.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of electronic applicant tracking system functionalities and supports ongoing improvement of this and other systems to ensure candidate and hiring manager satisfaction.
  • Provides human capital metrics and analytics reports to inform Human Capital Office managers to enable fact-based decision making and to support the organization in staying abreast of workforce needs/supports, patterns and trends.
  • Keeps abreast of changes in City Schools' policies, procedures, negotiated agreements, school/student achievement and business function data, performance data and core human capital areas as they relate to delivering quality human capital services to all customers and increasing workforce effectiveness.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, school board policies and the professional standards.

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required in human resources, education, business administration, organizational leadership, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Two years of relevant experience in recruitment, K-12 education, marketing, advertising, or sales.
  • Note: Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience that provide the knowledge and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for managing candidate engagement and providing customer service.
  • Professional experience utilizing multiple popular social media platforms preferred.
  • Advanced skills in the use of Windows environment and applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, and Outlook.
  • Outstanding writing skills, including for personal communication and for mass communication.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of people and teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, take initiative, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to remain flexible in a creative and challenging work environment.
  • Valid Class C Noncommercial driver's license and daily access to personal transportation.
