Position Overview

We are recruiting for a Data Quality Assurance Engineer who will provide support to the Client's data quality assurance activities, with a particular focus on maintaining and improving the Sponsor's large-scale entity resolution capabilities.

Responsibilities
    Optimizing large-scale entity resolution capabilities in a complex Big Data environment comprised of many large disparate datasets.
  • Examining Oracle data via database applications and SQL to identify incoming data that has violated quality standards such as validity, accuracy, completeness, consistency, or uniformity.
  • Identifying and correcting data quality or internal processing issues, and submitting data for reprocessing.
  • Recommending automation and process improvements to reduce/eliminate future data quality issues and/or minimize the need for manual intervention.
  • Recommending enhanced measures of data quality that can be used to inform the Sponsor's overall data strategy.
  • Maintaining consistent, proactive, and timely communication with Sponsor management and other internal stakeholders, particularly in regards to data quality issues, and events that may impact other mission capabilities.
  • Preparing and presenting reports, deliverables, and briefings as required.
  • Collaborating with teammates, internal technical teams, vendors, Sponsor management, and analysts to build relationships and achieve objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required #qinetiqclearedjob
  • Significant hands-on experience with data management and/or data quality assessment.
  • Hands-on experience using SQL, particularly in performance of database administration, development, ETL, or data performance analysis tasks.
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases and Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Familiarity with UNIX command line and basic UNIX commands.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with XML.
