Job Description Summary: | GW's Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) strives to foser a diverse program of research and education directed at a wide range of problems in areas such as bio-inspired engineering, bioengineering, energy and sustainability, multi-scale modeling and simulation, nanotechnology, mechatronics and robotics, machine design, manufacturing, fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, and materials science. Under direct guidance of the Department Chair, the Department Operations Lead will support the department's student and faculty population in one of the largest and most vibrant departments within the School of Engineering and Applied Science. MAE is seeking a Department Operations Lead to oversee the day-to-day administrative and academic operations of the department. Responsibilities Include:
- Serves as the MAE Office first point of contact, and independently solves problems, for faculty, staff, and students.
The Department Operations Lead performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. |
