Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a dynamic Learning and Development Specialist who will be responsible for the design, delivery, tracking, and evaluation of our learning and leader development programs. This role is pivotal in developing our high-performing team, ensuring alignment with our cultural values, and enhancing our leader development strategy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in designing and implementing programs that advance company objectives, boost employee engagement, and enhance performance. Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. While the work can be delivered remotely, preference will be given to qualified candidates who can occasionally work in-person at our Reston, Virginia office.

Responsibilities:

    Deliver engaging manager and leader development programs for front line through mid-level leaders, which includes design, delivery and facilitation of both in-person and virtual learning of both bespoke and vendor provided content.
  • Conduct Learning needs analysis (LNA) to understand the needs of our learners and assess readiness against organizational competencies.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive L&D strategies and solutions aligned with the company's objectives, specifically addressing results of the LNA.
  • Partner with other team members to develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for training and development programs.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and development across the organization, promoting engagement and employee growth opportunities.
  • Manage the learning management system (LMS) to track training participation, completion and learning effectiveness.
  • Conduct post-learning assessments and analyze feedback to continuously improve content and delivery.
  • Partner with the HR data analytics team to utilize metrics and data analytics to measure the effectiveness and impact of L&D initiatives, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  • Project manage learning and development and initiatives (includes performing any necessary administrative tasks, preparing materials, etc.) to ensure training needs and deadlines are met.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and vendors on annual compliance training requirements to ensure legal and regulatory learning programs are executed.
  • Utilize change management principles to develop change management plans an apply, with learning programs when needed to enable adoption of new processes, tools, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant business experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Additional relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Extensive business knowledge with comprehensive understanding of HR in the areas of learning and development, employee experience, or organizational development.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing leadership development initiatives, learning strategies, organizational development programs, and technical skill development initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, especially instructor-led and virtual training delivery, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent performance consulting and solutioning skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies, including authoring tools.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to develop insights and guide decisions.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Superior oral and written skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Government contracting industry experience.
  • CPLP or similar certification preferred.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
