Peraton is seeking a Software Engineer to support our Cyber Mission business unit located in Annapolis Junction, MD. The team supports multiple products that automate manual tasks so that mission customers can focus on more complex issues. The team employs Agile methodologies and DevOps principles to ensure that high-quality, reliable software is delivered to the customer. The position is to be performed in Peraton's contractor facility which allows for flexible work schedules. In addition, the opportunity for teleworking is available based on tasking and customer approval.

Expected duties and responsibilities:

Implements, tests, and operates advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture.
• Performs on-going security testing and code review to improve software security.
• Troubleshoots and debugs issues that arise.
• Provides engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Contributes to all levels of the architecture and maintains technical documentation.
• Consults team members on secure coding practices.
• Develops a familiarity with new tools and best practices.

Basic Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required
• Twenty (20) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
• A minimum six (6) years demonstrated experience out of the most recent 8 years developing production
• Familiarity with cloud development techniques, resources, and tools
• Experience with the following:

  • Linux
  • HTML/CSS and other front end technologies
  • Account Management and access control
  • API implementation
  • RESTful service

• Full Stack SWE who has both front and back-end experience
