As a UCC Building Plans Examiner Trainee, you will assist with review of architectural plans for compliance with applicable regulations, research files and records for prior approvals, and assist with review and interpretation of laws and regulations. You will have the opportunity to attend meetings to assist in the explanation and interpretation of laws, regulations, and bureau procedures, and review written complaints against local Building Code Officials concerning the enforcement and administration of the UCC. Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be updating computer records of the bureau file and order tracking system, in addition to answering telephone inquiries and mail correspondence.
