What You'll Do on a Typical Day

  • Maintain NISPOM compliance as it pertains to responsibilities, requirements and obligations associated with holding a Facility Security Clearance (FCL)
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize or negate vulnerabilities associated with Foreign Ownership Control or Influence (FOCI)
  • Responsible for administration and maintenance of the GXO Government Services Insider Threat Program and serves as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official
  • Provide timely and accurate Industrial Security guidance to Human Resources, Recruiting, Contracts, Program Managers and Staff
  • Administer a personnel security program and maintain DISS, to include processing new applicants for a security clearance, initiating periodic re-investigations, submitting reports on covered individuals, and debriefing individuals from access when no longer required to support a valid government requirement
  • Responsible for the GXO Government Services security training and education program, which consists of initial security training, annual refresher training, debriefings and continuous threat awareness covering a variety of security topics
  • Perform an annual self-inspection and audit security programs
  • Maintain all records and files and make them available to government representatives as requested

What You Need to Succeed

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree; or equivalent work or military experience
  • Top Secret Security Clearance
  • 5 years relevant FSO experience
  • Must possess eligibility for access to Secret information at the time of application (minimum Secret level active security clearance)
  • Five (5) years of FOCI mitigation experience
  • Five (5) years safeguarding experience
  • Must be able to manage special projects and training initiatives
  • Experience working with a security system of record in coordination with DISS, NISS, NCCS, e-QIP, and other government security systems of record
  • Must have working knowledge of the Federal Rule 32CFR Part 117 and able to interpret government policy (NISPOM Rule, ICD, SEAD)
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and have a sense of urgency
  • Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience setting up a government subsidiary
  • Facility Security Officer (FSO) certification
  • NCMS ISP Certification or other industrial security certifications
  • Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) certification
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Knowledge of Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency policies
  • Experience with leading and creating security education training and awareness programs
