Position Description
Deque is hiring an Accessibility Developer Consultant to work with the Deque Developer Services team to guide web developers to solve accessibility problems. The ideal candidate comes from a front-end developer background, with strong experience in accessibility and the ability to explain complex topics in a way that is easy to understand.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide detailed guidance and lead discussions with client developers to solve accessibility problems
- Troubleshoot complex accessibility problems
- Develop in client teams to build accessible solutions in client code
- Perform accessibility assessments, validate fixes, write VPATs
- Develop custom solutions and reports for client needs in Deque products
- Develop automation solutions and internal tools for Deque Accessibility Consultants
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of frontend web technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) and experience using frameworks such as React, Vue, and Angular
- Experience with accessibility evaluation tools and techniques
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and user requirements for people with disabilities
- Deep knowledge of WAI-ARIA, WCAG
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Agile project management methodology
