About your Role:

As a Substance Abuse Specialists serve as a member of the ACT or TACT team, advocating and working with your assigned adult clients. The team is comprised of several members, each with their own focus with the client, including housing, vocational services, therapy, medical, and substance use. In your position, you will conduct assessments, provide individual and family counseling, case management services, and link clients to community resources, following the treatment plan goals. This position includes client transportation as needed and one week on-call rotation, handled virtually or in person, depending on the situation. For optimal client success, you will meet with clients in the local community primarily, with approximately 20% of your time spent in the office or via zoom/phone.

  • Competitive pay:
    • CAC Certification: $68,000-$70,000
    • LMSW, LPC, LGSW, LGPC: $70,000-$75,000

Does the following apply to you?
  • One of the following:
    • CAC (Certified Addictions Counselor) Certification and 1-year post-Masters clinical experience (substance abuse or adult mental health population)
    • LMSW, LPC, LGSW, or LGPC
  • Up to date Covid vaccination or a valid exemption through DOH
  • Current unrestricted driver's license and automobile insurance

Preferred but not required:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • ACT/TACT experience

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)

ACT is a specialty service that involves a multidisciplinary team approach offered in the adult's natural setting. Focused on helping those who have not been successfully engaged in services and/or those who have not benefited from traditional mental health services for individuals aged 25 and older.

Transitional Assertive Community Treatment (TACT)

TACT is a subset of ACT, serves consumers from 18-29. TACT help those who have not been successfully engaged in services and/or those who have not benefited from traditional mental health services.
