As a Senior Software Engineer with Redhorse's Cyber Analytics practice, you'll design and implement software that supports critical computer network operations (CNO) solutions. Through collaboration with Redhorse colleagues and across customer teams, you will devise innovative solutions, translate detailed design, and refine software to meet specialized customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • The Software Engineer will guide all aspects of software development efforts including securing data architectures and software, prototyping, testing, and evaluating software and systems. You will use Agile methodologies and actively lead teams to develop new and update existing software/applications within complex environments. Documentation and coordination with customer stakeholders, developers, analysts, other contractors, and vendors is necessary to meet functional, security, legal, and operational requirements and maintain critical operations. You will track, manage, and fix bugs and implement enhancements to maintain quality products. You will also support software development infrastructure and assist with building and configuring computing systems and resources.
Minimum Basic Requirements for Skills, Experience, Education and Credentials:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Software Engineering or 4+ years of additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • 7+ years of technical experience in the following areas: computer software development (user and kernel-level), computer programming, and/or computer digital forensics.
  • Recent experience working as a technical lead/Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a major project or program.
  • 5+ years of experience writing software in: Python, C, C++, or similar modern languages.
  • Knowledge of modern computing paradigms and environments, such as NoSQL, cloud computing and virtualization, parallel programming, network programming, mobile development, and interface development.
  • Experience with full lifecycle software development activities in Linux/Windows/Unix/Mac/Web environments; mobile development preferred (iOS/Android).
  • Experience with software development tools for Integrated Development Environments (IDES), version control systems, and bug tracking.
  • Experience exploring and evaluating various software solutions and presenting design/improvement recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Security Clearance Requirement: Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility preferred.
