Our National Security Global Business is currently seeking a Navy Medicine Senior Health Care Analyst. This position is located in Washington, DC.
The Navy Medicine Healthcare Program Senior Analyst will provide Navy Medicine HQ staff with technical and programmatic support to assist with the management and execution of the TRICARE military healthcare program at the service Headquarters level. The position reports to the Medical Readiness and Response Navy-Air Force Associate Manager, within the Medical Readiness and Response Group. The candidate will be responsible for the technical quality of products and services offered.
The successful candidate will:
A. Develop and implement program policy on TRICARE/healthcare topics of interest as directed by the TRICARE Operations Service Representative (BUMED). Issues include the wide range of policy and guidance that facilitates the coordination of care between the Direct Care System (MTFs) and the Purchased Care System (MCSCs).
B. Review, analyze, and brief on proposed legislation and proposed changes to the TRICARE Policy Manual (TPM), TRICARE Reimbursement Manual (TRM), TRICARE Systems Manual (TSM) and TRICARE Operations Manual (TOM) that may impact the delivery of Healthcare within Navy Medicine.
C. Review, analyze, and participate with Working Groups that support the implementation of the Third Generation (T3) TRICARE contract. This includes facilitating work groups and developing proposed policy and guidance.
D. Participate for BUMED at Joint meetings, Health Affairs, Interagency, etc. as needed regarding TRICARE issues as assigned.
E. Provide subject matter expert consultation to requesting activities and entities on the TRICARE Program issues as needed. This includes drafting responses to Congressional/beneficiary/SECNAV/POTUS, etc inquiries.
F. Provide oversight of demonstration projects as needed under the cognizance of the Patient Administration and TRICARE Operations Department.
G. Some travel may be required.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, any Health or Life Sciences, or related field
- Five years experience in healthcare program management, operations or analysis
- Prior experience in healthcare program policy development
- Experience supporting or working with DoD staff
- Capable of holding a DoD Secret security clearance.
THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Masters in Healthcare, Public or Business Administration
- Five years experience in military healthcare program management, operations or analysis
- Prior experience in TRICARE program policy development
- Successful completion of a managed care fellowship
